La Prom Gazette Awards

Hi there to, and greetings from afar.

Yes it has been a long while. However, due to an influx of requests, La Prom has been asked to do an encore if you will. A sort of awards gala for the weeks of when the Gazette was in operation before being shit down due to some whinging.

So without further ado, here is the end of season awards.

Earlier this year, as everyone knew, every Wednesday, there was the Pipis sprint award. And the sole purpose was to ensure that Captain Moonlight (Kenny Warren) did NOT win the sprint. Well, we succeeded in this mission until one day, Captain Moonlight borrowed Buzz light Years rocket packs, and launched himself across that pedestrian crossing scaring the crap out of some poor old lady. As a result, Kenny Warren gets the pipis sprint award for the year.

Next is the 'Impersonator award', which goes to.... THE "Caramel Bandit". Earlier this year, this feast eating caramel machine tried to impersonate Pantani during the Col du Montville RR. However, all he suceeded in achieving was overdosing on lactic acid and a bucket load of weight!

During our segments we also had, Look where your going award for those who could not stay upright, therefore, needing to borrow trainers. Well this award goes to none other than MONTY, who earlier this year must have decided that the only way to HTFU was to hit a car.

We also had in our segments the spit the Dummy....well this is a no brainer, but this award for the year is awarded to none other than Woody himself, for  dummy spit about being picked on during one of these issues, which resulted in this Gazette being shutdown.

But finally, the top of award for the year...the "GOOD SPORT" award does have to go to Captain Buzz Light Year. The amount of crap the this rider copped in these issues was enough to clog a tiolet for a whole month! But to his credit, he took it all on the chin, gave a smile, and had a good laugh about. Well done mate. There were times I am sure these issues almost pushed it just a little bit too far.

All in all, thanks to those who read the issues. What started out as a joke to get at Captain Buzz Light Year, turned into a cult following that I truly never expected! Who knows, if certain people can realise that this segment was completely bias, never told the truth, and will blatantly lie  for a story, then this segment may come back 2010.

But that is up you...the reader. Would you like to see it back?
