Just had a live report from Mick Patton in Adelaide with 13 other sunny coasters. Once again the sunny coast dream of winning the big one (the Mutual community Challenge) was shattered despite the best efforts of Dahl Drew who went there as a serious contender for line honours.
Dahl did a huge effort out the front solo but was run down eventually by the 5000 strong peleton.Jeff Liddell was the highest placed sunny coaster. Mick Patton came in about 5 minutes behind the winner. Buddha is riding strong again and could be on the race scene in 2009.
Ross Blumel had a nasty confrontation with some railway tracks and required a trip to the hospital.
