Posted by Big Mike, 16 July 2010, 5:15 PM TT specialist, mountain man and Glass House Mountains local Tony Borg has offered the following...
"The first 200 metres of Coonowrin Road from the Old Gympie Road intersection heading in towards Glasshouse Mountains town have been torn-up by the council in preparation for resurfacing. The surface is reasonably solid road base/gravel and the corner still has a bit of solid bitumen. Provided it is dry on Saturday I don't think it will be a problem. Just thought I'd give you a heads-up on the situation."
Someone will be on the corner with a broom tidying up the big bits... it's a TT so everyone should have have a clear view as they go carefully through the corner.
Now, to the race details.
This Saturday we start with an individual time trial at Glass House with the first rider off at 7:30am. As soon as the last rider finishes we'll move to Caloundra for a road race on the twilight circuit. Sunday will be the final stage at North Arm with racing starting at 7:30am for all grades.
The ITT and North Arm RR are both feature races with points towards the club championship (see 9 July newsletter for details).
We still need some volunteers for the weekend too. 2 at Caloundra and 1 at North Arm. Please contact the Duty Coordinator, Brian Cavanagh if you can help.

Posted by Big Mike, 16 July 2010, 4:50 AM Congratulations to Merv's Marvels on a great weekend of racing. 15 SCCC riders competed in 3 races across the weekend with 11 medals coming back to the coast.
