Without volunteers races can’t happen. This road season the club is offering 24 club events plus a junior open event, an all ages open event and a charity event as well as 3 or 4 social rides. Racing News for this weekend Posted by Big Mike, 18 June 2009, 7:46 PM This weekend we are hosting round 2 of the interclub challenge with HPRW and Ipswich. The start/finish is in the usual spot 100m north of Wilsons Lane. Registration at 8am ready for racing at 8:30am. A free sausage and can of drink for all competitors. SCCC only trails HPRW by 18 points and with 1 point for every club member finishing we are well within striking distance. If you don't like racing the Eumundi course, come along and soak up the atmosphere and help with the BBQ, registration or as a corner marshall.

Club Race this Sunday Posted by Big Mike, 3 June 2009, 8:07 PM We are still in need of 2 volunteers to assist with the Club Race this Sunday. Please email duty@ and racedirector@ sunshinecoastcycling.com.au make yourself known. The race this weekend will start from the Palmwoods State School at approximately 8am on Sunday. Riders are to meet at Monteville at 7:30 for sign in and then roll down the hill for the start. Riders intending to ride to the race can register at the Palmwoods State School. Race order will be Juniors, A, B, C & D leaving at short intervals. The course will be the same as the event held as part of the Tour de Sunshine Coast although it is only a club event and therefore only open to club members and bonafide visitors as determined by the regulations. It is not a substitute tour. We will be meeting for coffee in Montville after the race.
